Plan Overview
To maintain the prestige and relevance of the Certified Tribal Technology Professional (CTTP) designation, all certificate holders are required to complete ongoing professional development. This ensures that CTTP leaders stay at the forefront of both emerging technology and modern leadership strategies within the unique landscape of Indian Country.
Requirements at a Glance
- Total Credits: 40 CEUs, 1 CEU equivalent to 1 hour
- Reporting Period: Every 24 months (starting from the date of certification)

Credit Split:
- 50% Leadership & Communication: Focus on team management, strategic planning, emotional intelligence, and tribal governance.
- 50% Technology: Focus on cybersecurity, infrastructure, AI, data sovereignty, and industry-specific software and technologies.

Qualifying Sources (How to Earn Credits)
We aim to make earning credits achievable through your existing professional engagement:
- TribalHub Events: All sessions attended at the TribalNet Conference, Tribal Cybersecurity Summit, and Regional Forums.
- TribalHub Webinars: All live and on-demand webinars hosted by TribalHub.
- Purpose & Performance Group: Leadership-focused webinars and training sessions.
- Industry Events: Educational sessions at major tech conferences (e.g., HIMSS, DEF CON, Gartner, InfoTech) or tribal-specific events (e.g., NAFOA, IGA, NCAI) provided they relate to tech or leadership.
- Self-Directed Learning: White papers, technical bootcamps, or academic coursework (subject to approval).
- Higher education (up to 10 Technology and 10 Leadership & Communication CEUs per 24 months): Each completed college or university credit hour (undergraduate or graduate) may be converted into CEUs. 1 semester credit hour = 10 CEUs. Coursework must be relevant to technology, cybersecurity, leadership, governance, or tribal organizational capacity.
