Chris Welch, a proud Cherokee Nation citizen, is a tribal advocate, trainer, speaker and coach. As IT Product Manager for the Cherokee Nation Tribal Government, Chris drives innovative engagement and educational initiatives, opening doors to STEM opportunities for employees and citizens across the reservation. With a decade of experience in community organizing, Chris has empowered grassroots nonprofits, managed impactful programs, and built cohesive communities throughout Indian Country. His expertise as a nationally recognized speaker and trainer in Asset Based Community Development and Intergenerational Community Building has made Chris a sought-after leader at major events like RES and NAIHC. Today, he champions technology, university partnerships, and engagement nationwide, always advocating for traditional Native American values and a brighter future for the next seven generations. In 2020, Chris was honored with the NCAIED Native American 40 Under 40 award, celebrating his visionary impact.
