Damon Safranek is CEO of the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians and Paskenta Enterprises, leading a diversified portfolio spanning government operations, gaming and hospitality, tribal healthcare, energy, real estate, retail fuel, 8(a) contracting, beverage production, and venture capital.
Over more than a decade as CEO and twenty-five years in tribal government and enterprise leadership, his focus has been on a single idea: lasting sovereignty is built through the systems, people, policies, infrastructure, and capital that allow a Tribe's decisions to compound over generations.
His work includes developing tribal energy infrastructure, including a microgrid that advances the Tribe toward energy independence; scaling a multi-site federally qualified health system; and building the governance and capital frameworks that underpin long-term economic resilience; work that increasingly turns on how Tribes adopt, govern, and own digital infrastructure.
He holds an MBA from the University of Arizona and completed Harvard Business School's Tribal Leadership Program.
