Daniel Saroff

Daniel Saroff is Group Vice President of Research and Consulting at IDC, where he also leads the CIO Executive Council and Pathways programs.

He works directly with boards, business leaders, and IT executives to help them align technology with strategy, drive measurable outcomes, and make smarter investment decisions. He leads IDC’s CIO and End-User Research Practice, which delivers forward-looking insights into how technology can drive innovation, transformation, and business impact. He has personally published over 60 research reports, blogs, and articles.

 

Before IDC, Daniel served as CIO of a major Massachusetts state agency, where he led enterprise-wide modernization, technology innovation and standardization, and cyber incident response. His background includes senior roles at Forrester and Gartner, IT leadership in aerospace and defense, and running his own consulting firm.
