About Jamie
Jamie Hummingbird served the Cherokee Nation for 29 years, including more than 20 as Director of the Gaming Commission, where he oversaw regulation of 11 gaming facilities, 7,000+ gaming machines, 85 table and card games, licensing for 3,200+ employees, and daily operations for 62 staff members.
In 2021, he founded Solvere Consulting, specializing in tribal gaming regulatory services and organizational development. He is Chairman of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma Gaming Agency, Vice Chair of the Alabama-Coushatta Tribal Gaming Authority, and Secretary of the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission.
Since 2006, he has served as Chairman of the National Tribal Gaming Commissioners & Regulators (NTGCR), a nonprofit focused on advancing professionalism, collaboration, and training for tribal gaming regulators, and is currently serving his tenth term.
