About Jessica

Jessica Dumback currently serves as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, bringing nearly three decades of dedicated service and leadership to the Tribe. Her journey began in the summer of 1997 through the Chairman’s Internship Program, and she has since held a range of key positions, including Recreation Facility Manager at the ChiMukwa Community Recreation Center (2004–2016), Interim Assistant Executive Director (2015), and permanent Assistant Executive Director (2016–2019). 

After a brief hiatus, Jessica returned to the Tribe in June 2022 as Deputy CEO, and now leads the organization as Interim CEO.  Jessica earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Legal Assistant Studies from Lake Superior State University (1999) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in Finance from Central Michigan University (2023).

A proud member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, Jessica resides in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, where she continues to champion the Tribe’s mission and foster community growth through visionary leadership.
