About Marisela
Marisela C. Nuñez, a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona, has dedicated more than 35 years of service to her Tribe and currently serves as Enrollment Director. She has dedicated her career to modernizing Tribal enrollment and secure identity systems while upholding the cultural values and sovereignty of Native Nations.
Marisela led the development and successful implementation of the Nation's first Enhanced Tribal Card (ETC) Program, establishing a model that has helped Tribal Nations implement secure, compliant identity programs. As the founder of Sacred Path, she provides strategic guidance to Tribal Nations developing Enhanced Tribal Card and secure identity solutions. She also participated in FEMA's beta test program of the Personal Identity Verification–Interoperable (PIV-I) program and now assists Tribal Nations in implementing PIV-I solutions. Her leadership continues to strengthen Tribal sovereignty through innovative, secure, and culturally grounded identity programs.
