Mark Gabel

Mark Gabel currently serves as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Security Officer for Cherokee Federal. In this role, he is responsible for shaping the organization’s technology strategy and ensuring that its information assets, digital platforms, and operational processes remain secure, resilient, and aligned with enterprise objectives.

With more than 32 years of cybersecurity experience, Mark brings deep expertise spanning multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals, health care, technology, retail, consumer goods, energy, manufacturing, and government. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions at organizations such as Eli Lilly & Company, Roche Diagnostics, Microsoft Corporation, Starbucks Coffee Company, ServiceNow, Mead Johnson Nutrition, MISO Energy, and Berry Global.

Mark maintains several business and security certifications and actively participates in numerous industry associations. He has held the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credential from (ISC)² since 2001, reflecting his long-standing commitment to advancing security practices and leadership in the field.
