Sean Smiley

Sean Smiley is a senior IT leader in the casino and hospitality industry, currently with Red Hawk Casino, where he focuses on advancing technology leadership and improving how IT services are delivered to the business. With 30+ years in technology and leadership, including 20 years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard, Sean leads with connected leadership to create clarity and alignment, driving modernization, security, and responsible AI adoption to build operational resilience and measurable results in fast-moving environments.

Sean recently earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from Colorado Technical University and is especially interested in applying AI and automation in effective, ethical, and people-first ways. He emphasizes clear problem identification before solution design, using AI to reduce friction, strengthen security, and increase throughput sustainably, without sacrificing trust, wellbeing, or long-term accountability.
