Shane Vanbuskirk

 Shane Vanbuskirk is the Cybersecurity Manager and senior-most security leader at Muckleshoot Casino Resort, where he is responsible for building and maturing the organization’s cybersecurity program serving one of Washington’s largest gaming enterprises. He leads strategy across governance, risk, compliance, incident response, and security operations while driving measurable resilience improvements aligned to national frameworks and tribal regulatory requirements. Shane holds a graduate degree in cybersecurity from the University of Washington and is a CISSP. Before entering the gaming industry, he spent 14 years securing Air Force networks and later deployed to Afghanistan with Special Operations Forces, where he supported mission-critical systems in high-risk environments. His work focuses on practical, scalable security that aligns business value, organizational maturity, and operational realities.
