Tracy Spears

Tracy Spears loves to work with organizations that are committed to creating a culture of high-performing teams and workplaces people love. She is a best-selling author, international keynote speaker, and podcast host of “Shift Out Loud”.  Tracy didn’t go to Harvard. She didn’t go to Yale. Instead, she graduated with lifelong lessons from growing up in a trailer park in Tulsa, Oklahoma - lessons about inclusion, delegation, perspective, and the power of community. Her athletic ability earned her a softball scholarship to the University of Oklahoma. After college, she went on to compete internationally with the U.S. National Softball Team in Japan and the Olympic Sports Festival. She will be the first to tell you the trophies weren’t what shaped her leadership philosophy. It was the playground of the trailer park where she first learned how people work, struggle, and succeed together.  Tracy spent 29 years rising through the ranks of corporate America as a successful executive. Then, on a random Tuesday, she and her now business partner, Wally Schmader, were fired. That moment became a turning point for both. They started The Leader Lab and have since enjoyed enormous success in the endeavor.  She’s an international keynote speaker, two-time TEDx speaker, three-time author, cofounder of The Leader Lab, and founder of Trailer Park University - the place she believes gave her “the best education money can’t buy”. Tracy challenges people to ask a deeper question: What would happen if you curated your life around the possibilities instead of the probabilities?  Her favorite saying is “Whatever you’re not changing, you’re choosing.”
