This was the inaugural Community Symposium. We wanted a way to kick off the year and get everyone together to share ideas, insights, forecasts and more. With over 300 attendees in 2024, we plan to keep this as a regular event in 2025 and beyond! It's a great way to kick off the new year.

Indian Health Service Health IT Modernization Update

Chief Information Officer Mitchell Thornbrugh will share the latest on the Indian Health Service Health IT Modernization, that includes a new enterprise EHR. He will cover three key aspects of the national initiative: user-centered change management, data strategy for new and legacy clinical data in a cloud-hosted environment, and governance that includes Tribal and Urban Indian Organization input. Collectively, these components of the Modernization will help make lasting improvements in patient care and outcomes across Indian Country for generations to come.

In this empowering keynote, author and organizational performance consultant from Wipfli, Caroline Nuttall, will show us how to embrace authentic leadership and build our resilience skills. We’ll learn the five different roles every leader plays to best focus our valuable time and energy. You’ll get curious about how you operate today and how you wish to lead with intentionality going forward. We’ll understand the importance of vulnerability-based trust and determine how to lead others during change. Finally, we’ll take concrete action in putting on our own oxygen masks before assisting others by building our personal resilience skills.
