Cybersecurity and Your Cloud Migration
Tribes of all sizes and resource levels are moving services to the cloud, but how do you do this while maintaining the security of your systems, network and data? Can I simply trust and rely on my vendors and service providers to simply "have that covered"? In this session our presenters will discuss Data Sovereignty in Native American Tribes focused on the best practices and information pertinent to using cloud solutions. The main objective is to provide information on how Tribal IT successfully navigate using cloud solutions while managing and protecting their data, and highlight the potential risks and challenges associated with various cloud solutions/providers. It will provide guidance on selecting a cloud provider, contracts, and implementing appropriate security/compliance measures to protect sensitive data. We will all discuss the importance of establishing clear data management policies and procedures. |

Shaping Present and Future Leaders
Attendees will leave this session with a renewed perspective on leadership. So many principles of modern leadership have been a part of Native American culture and traditional teachings for generations. Our speaker for this session leads this discussion and even engages attendees in a short hands-on activity to demonstrate some of what their tribe and casino does with all of their new team members. Applying principles of a traditional teaching that is thousands of years old to present day leadership. |
